Homaynameh is a not-so-known epic book that is written in the sixth or seventh century of Persian literature, by unknown authors, which is interesting to be analyzed. The theoretical basics of the study is based on methods proposed by famous Structuralists of morphology of stories, folklore, mythological and epic tales, including Vladimir Propp, Arthur Asa Berger and Paul Ricoeur.
The results show that the story is formed of a general framework including the starting status, events resulting from shortcomings and evil, and a happy end for the hero. We can perform the morphology of sequence of reactions in the book based on important elements of character, motivation, function, movement and repetition. Seven people of the story considering multifaceted of their character includes characteristics of people mentioned in Propp's theory; with the difference that instead of “fake hero” the character of “hero character” is present. Number of main functions considering their repetitions was eighty-three functions, with the emphasis that some of them are new in comparison with the theory of Propp and in some functions with similar titles, new concepts are presented. The functions of “war” and “victory” have had the most repetition for elements of story and the movements of the combination of three story movements and Berger movement pattern. Therefore, we can find examples of epic book structure, especially epic romances, and to look for it in the similar works
